The second survey of the prestigious company MRB on the district of Tirana indicates that the popularity of the leader of the Socialist Party has dropped compared to results from the first survey, meanwhile citizens in the capital now share a more positive opinion for the leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha.
In the survey conducted for Euronews Albania, the citizens of the district of Tirana valued positively
- Lulzim Basha 44.8%
- Edi Rama 44.4%
- Monika Kryemadhi 20.8%
Compared to the first survey on this district, conducted during the period from January 25 to February 12 – it results that Rama has lost 3 percentage points in the past month – from 47.4% – meanwhile Basha has gained 5.2 percentage points – from 39.6%.
It is worth noting that for Basha this assessment is higher than that on a national scale – measured at 44% – while for Rama it is lower – national rank 47%.
A slight increase in popularity was also seen for the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration Monika Kryemadhi, from 19.4% to 20.8%.
The upward popularity trend for Basha was also seen on the citizens’ opinions when asked: “Which of the candidates is more suitable for prime minister”. The 10% difference between Rama and Basha has dropped significantly, respectively to 2.8%.
Citizens evaluated as more suitable for the prime minister’s post:
- Edi Rama 43% – 44.1% first survey
- Lulzim Basha 40.2% – 34.1% first survey

The second survey on a district scale for Tirana conducted by the prestigious company MRB for Euronews Albania, carried out 715 face-to-face interviews with eligible voters (over the age of 18) from February 27 to March 31 – with a participation of 51.2% females and 48.8% males
