As opposed to Haxhiu, Bushati holds the opinion that this action by the PM is insincere.
“Why is Rama’s invitation insincere? Edi Rama, with his words, wants to do what no one has done in 30 years, peace and the grand unification of all Albanians. This is the thesis we have heard. Why doesn’t this stand? Only today, I have three cases of people being fired from their jobs because of non-correct posts on Facebook,” says Bushati.
According to him, Albanians cannot unify as long as the justice system is in the hands of those in power and this is where he brought up the example of the ‘’patrons’’.
“Is this how Albanians make up? The justice system is captured, people are threatened with being fired from work, this entire thing is a bluff. Today, Edi Rama has the face of an ‘Avdylaj’, not the painter and artist that will beautify Albania,” he added.
Analyst Baton Haxhiu on the other hand said that this invitation from the head of state is a sincere one and came as a result of several reasons, amongst which are property and the justice reform.
“The first reason is linked with the partnership in Albania. Property, which means the creation of a document that both the opposition and government can agree on. It is time that the opposition and the government can collaborate because by being against each other nothing will be resolved. And the next one is the justice reform. Edi Rama’s reasoning is completely sincere,” said Haxhiu.
