The fifth national survey conducted by MRB for Euronews Albania predicts that the Socialist Party will win the elections with a very close difference.
Asked about which party or coalition they would vote for, the majority answered SP, with a difference of 6.2%:
- SP – 43%
- DP – 36.8%
- SMI – 5.8%
- Others – 3%
- I won’t vote. – 4.1%
- I don’t know. – 6%
- Didn’t answer. – 1.3%
Compared to previous survey, since the month of December, SP has initially shown a fluctuation between 39.9%-41.8%, whereas in the last 2 surveys it shows a steady 43%. However, its difference with the coalition of the Democratic Party ‘Alliance for Change’ has more than halved from 13.6% to 6.2%.
DP’s coalition has seen a considerable rise from 28.2% to 36.8%, whereas the support for the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) has almost halved, from 10.3% to 5.8%.
When analyzing voting trends as well as the undecided in comparison to 2017’s elections, MRB predicts that SP will win the elections with a 7% difference:
- SP – 48.5%
- DP– 41.5%
- SMI – 6.5%
- Others – 3.5%
Compared to 2017, SP is expected to have almost the same support from voters, with a slight increase +0.2% (from 48.3%), whereas DP will have a +12.6% rise (from 28.9%). The support for SMI in turn, is expected to go down -7.8% (from 14.3%).
Methodology
The fifth national survey was conducted for Euronews Albania by the prestigious surveying agency, MRB, which held 2,700 face-to-face interviews in urban and rural areas, with eligible voters (over 18), during the time period April 1st-15th.
