The Leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha is in Kavaja, where he headed for immediately after the incident that happened in the headquarters of the DP in the city, where a man was injured after another mean shot at him with a gun. Basha called this an attack on the DP by a PM that knows he will lose these elections.
While raising accusations against activists of the Socialist Party for this incident, the leader of the democrats said that this incident shows the fear of losing power and it is an effort to shut the mouths of Albanians, who are anticipating the change.
“All of us together, let’s make no more steps backward. Let’s keep marching day by day, side by side until Sunday, when Kavaja and all of Albania will give the deserved answer to this ugly attack against democracy, against the Democratic Party and against our Coalition for Change,” said Basha.
The PM reacted through a post on Twitter, and called the incident happening in Kavaja an intolerable act that should be punished, but the politicization of this incident according to him is just as bad as the incident itself.
“The incident in Kavaja is intolerable! The author should be arrested as soon as possible! The Politicization of this incident is just as bad as the incident itself! Basha should join me in order to support justice without inciting tension, while Meta should stop this idiotic campaign of tension!” wrote the PM.
Meta asks the police to investigate the incident.
President Meta was also in Kavaja, where he has called for tranquility while asking police to investigate the incident further.
“I invite the residents of Kavaja to keep calm while hoping that the police can intervene and let go of weak motives. Ardi Veliu, let go of weak motives, the game is serious now. Don’t let those that the police has search warrants for, run around free in Shijak and Sukth and here and everywhere else, because there will be spectacular reactions that you haven’t even dreamed about. The vote of Albanians won’t be meddled with anymore,” declared the head of state.
