Ministry of Health defines rules that need to be followed on election day

The Ministry of Health has published the protocol regarding the anti-COVID-19 measures needed to be followed during the electoral process and on voting day.

The first point of the protocol says that one of the first action needed to be taken by the electoral employees and voters is to stay at home if they have fever, problems in their breathing or if they think they are sick.

Whereas for those that have been confirmed with the COVID-19 virus, they should comply with the regulations defined by the Ministry of Health, by self-quarantining.

One of the conditions needed to be fulfilled in the halls that will be used at voting centers is that there need to be frequent ins and outs so that the rules of social distancing can be respected.

At the entrance, there will be orientation signs regarding measures against COVID-19 as well as hand sanitizer.

Every voter should be equipped with a mask and the ballot boxes should be positioned at least 2 meters apart from the location of the members of the commission, as well as the secret voting booth.

The protocol of the Ministry of Health says that one day before the voting process, the disinfection of all voting spaces is obligatory.

For the members of the commissioner, it is mandatory to fill in a form, where they declare that they don’t have a fever, a high temperature or other symptoms of unrest related to COVID-19. They should also be sitting at a 1.5 m distance from one another.

In addition, at every voting center, there won’t be more voters allowed inside than there are secret booths.

Large gatherings of people in front of voting centers will also be prohibited and a 1.5 m social distancing will be imposed.
