After the case of personal data misuse, another publication has attracted a considerable amount of backlash and that is the wiretap of the head of the Cadaster, Artan Lame, which was recorded during a meeting with his subordinates. In the recording, Lame can be heard saying that the ‘’truth shouldn’t be told regarding the fact that we can’t give out legalization permits because that would mean more votes for the opposition.”
The reaction of president Ilir Meta regarding this wiretap, was quick and tough, asking for this case to be investigated further so that, according to him, the truth of a great scandal can surface.
The leader of the DP, Lulzim Basha has also called this incident as well as the whole legalization campaign criminal.
“This is a criminal act because in those houses that he would destroy after April 25th, there’s the sacrifice of life, of the children, sons and daughters in emigration. He promises legalization, when in fact his intention is to destroy them after the elections, only so he can get their vote from them. This is Edi Rama of the past 8 years,” said the leader of the democrats.
In addition, the head of the Cadaster has responded by saying that his voice was registered in October 2017, and what he has meant was to resolve the legalization permits not block them.
“We are there after the elections of 2017, so we weren’t there to buy votes because we had already gotten them. We are discussing regarding how we would treat the objects that with the law inherited by Berisha, couldn’t be legalized,” answered the head of the Cadaster.
