Prior to election-day, accredited ambassadors to our country, have given a message for the April 25 elections.

Through a video message shared by the Swedish Embassy in Tirana, ambassadors call for free and fair elections in Albania, calling the elections, “the most important event for democracy.”

“Your vote is yours, it is not a gift, so do not give it away, do not sell it,” the ambassadors said.

“On election day, vote! You decide for the future of the country. Democracy is priceless!” was the ambassadors’ call.

This call comes 3 days before the April 25 elections, while political parties in the country have accused each other of buying votes.

This concern was also raised by President Ilir Meta, who on Thursday called on the ambassadors to react to recent situations created in the country.
