After 15 years in the Albanian Development Fund and after in KESH, now Benet Beci is racing to become part of the new parliament as a candidate of the Socialist Party in the County of Shkoder.
He said that “he still isn’t comfortable in the political suit”, but on the other hand he emphasized that this is the right moment for him to enter politics because he sees it as a door to develop the country further.
Referring to the history of the electoral results in Shkoder, Beci said that “a bastion isn’t the right term for an area that is expecting to develop” and according to him “Shkoder needs to get out of the bastion area”.
Regarding the result of April 25th, he said that he is expecting SP to get at least 4 mandates in Shkoder and is fighting for the fifth one. Until now, he considers this campaign “very peaceful and positive on both sides” and he even spoke on his visit to DP’s electoral office.
“I was walking by one of DP’s offices earlier today and I stopped by and said hello. We met, wished well to one another in a civil manner. I believe that the atmosphere here is calm. This is a city, where people know each other and the civil relationships are very important and I believe that people here might not agree with your ideas but they agree to talk about them,” said the candidate for SP.
Benet Beci spoke about some strategic investments in infrastructure in the northern region of the country that will integrate it and according to him will turn it into a regional offer for tourism.
“We have started the road to Koman, we have built the road to Velipoja, another very important axis is the axis that connects Shengjin with Velipoja. These investments broaden the market and connect it to Ulcinj and further all the way to Croatia. This creates a regional touristic offer. We need to ignite the chain of public investments which is followed by private investments. With a bit of investment you can be able to increase the number of regional tourists,” he concluded.
