The leader of the Social-Democratic Party, Tom Doshi has come out with a statement for the press, where he has spoken on the reasons that led him to give up on his mandate as MP.

In the statement directed at the members of PSD, supporters and activists, Doshi guaranteed that he has in fact renounced his mandate, but he has not given up on the Social-Democratic Party or his political activism, or from the ‘constant fulfillment of the promises he has given.’

Doshi stated that the reason for this decision was to protect his name, that according to him, is being thrown around in a malevolent manner recently and this is why he wants to be completely freed from this mandate as a member of parliament.
