As of 23:00 PM, the electoral districts that have completely wrapped up their counting process are Kukes, Diber, Shkoder, Lezha, Fier, Berat, Gjirokastra, Korca.
The process is still ongoing in the districts of Tirana, Elbasan and Vlora.
Only three candidates ranked at the bottom of the winning list, were able to surpass the quotient, (the average number of votes needed for a parliamentary mandate for each party) in order to take the mandate as a member of parliament from the “leader’s favorites”, who were ranked in the top positions of the list.
Fatmir Xhafaj and Orlando Rakipi of SP in Tirana and Luciano Boci from DP in Elbasan, were able to take the place of the leader of SP in Tirana, Ervin Bushati, the current MP Fidel Ylli and the leader of DP in Elbasan Eugen Isai.
Another 3 MPs remain unconfirmed after Monika Kryemadhi decides if she will receive her mandate in Fier or Tirana; if PM Edi Rama will get his mandate in Durres or Vlora and if CEC will accept Tom Doshi’s resignation from his mandate in Shkoder, where he has been the most voted out of all the other candidates – and his mandate would go to Meri Merkici.
