The EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, will be visiting the Western Balkans next week, including Albania.
Commissioner Varhelyi will visit Tirana as part bloc’s plan to deliver vaccines to WB states.

He emphasized that the delivery of the vaccines confirms clearly the EU’s support for the Western Balkans.
It was EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca that confirmed the visit of Commissioner Varhelyi to Tirana.

On Thursday, the EU Commissioner announced that the vaccines are intended to immunize medical staff and vulnerable groups.
Albania is expected to receive 145.000 out of the 651.000 doses allocated for the region.
