The former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani stated on Ilva Now that something ‘abnormal’ happened during the April 25th elections and that the opposition should pursue their legal battles until the end, in order to see whether or not it will be able to prove that the elections were in fact stolen.

Manjani said that from the standpoint of the record-high number of invalid votes in these elections, CEC and other institutions should clear up all doubts, even if the opposition doesn’t demand it, in order for everyone to understand what actually happened.

When asked if the opposition should accept their defeat or not, according to the former Minister of Justice, there is still no official result adding that “if there’s a valid critique for Lulzim Basha is that he has said things that he hasn’t defended till the end” and according to him “maybe it is time for Basha to give up”.

“CEC and the legal body should pave the way for as many arguments as possible to be considered and scrutinized, even if there’s no evidence, they should show counter-evidence, even if there’s no arguments, they should show counter-arguments so that the public can actually recognize it their votes were stolen or not, if they were stolen through the system, through manipulation, how they were stolen, what actually happened or maybe people are actually happy with communism”.
