Greece has donated 20.000 vaccine doses to Albania, set to be delivered on Monday, confirmed the Albanian Embassy in Athens.
“As per the official declaration of the Greek government spokesperson, Aristotelia Peloni, neighbor Greece is donating 20.000 vaccine doses to Albania, as the majority of European countries do for their approximate neighbors”, the statement read.
“Moving forward on bilateral cooperation and in our joint projects”, it added.
Greece is also donating the same amount of vaccine doses to North Macedonia.
Earlier on, Bulgaria also vowed to donate a total of 150,000 doses to the Western Balkan countries.
