Kosovan judoka Nora Gjakova secured her country the second gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Her victory came after defeating French judoka Sarah-Léonie Cysique at the 57 kg class final.

Kosovo raked in its first gold at the Tokyo Olympics with Distria Krasniqi, the new world champion for the 48 kilograms class.
The 28-year-old was on a winning streak as earlier on she also defeated Japan’s Yoshida Tsukasa and Slovenian Kaja Kajzer.
At the Doha Masters World Tour and Judo World Championship in Budapest held this year, Gjakova won the bronze medal, while bringing home the gold in the 2018 European Championship held in Tel Aviv.
Among other athletes representing Kosovo at the Tokyo Olympics, Akil Gjakova was defeated by Mongolia’s Oshir Tsend at the quarterfinals in the 73 kilograms class.
