This Thursday, authorities reported the highest number of confirmed daily cases in the past 2 months.

In the last 24 hours, our country has identified a total of 47 new infections out of 3.025 tests conducted nationwide. Fortunately, the virus didn’t claim any lives.

Today’s number of new cases is the highest since May 14^th, when 49 new COVID-19 infections were reported.

The Ministry of Health announced that the new infections were identified in the following municipalities: 19 cases in Tirana, 6 in Elbasan, 5 in Kuçove, 4 in Pogradec, 3 in Lezha, 2 in Korça, and 1 case in each of the following: Shkoder, Durres, Kukes, Kavaja, Lushnje, Saranda, Delvine, Poliçan.

Currently, there’s a total of 355 actively infected patients in the entire country, 18 of whom are receiving specialized treatment at Tirana’s Infective Hospital.

In addition, 13 citizens recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries since the onset of the pandemic on our country to 130.187.
