107 arrests were carried out during a mega anti-drug operation amongst Albania, Spain and Germany.
The general director of police, Ardi Veliu participated at a press conference in Madrid, Spain during which he presented the results of the operation titled ‘DOBRA’.
During this mega operation, a total of 51 spaces were searched, out of which 23 plantations and marijuana grow houses. 25 000 cannabis plants were seized, 983 cannabis seeds, a detonator, two firearms, three luxury cars, one radio wave blocker, 68.760 euros etc.
In his statement, Veliu said that they won’t stop the operation at the moment but they will identify all the assets and wealth accumulated as a result of criminal activity in Albania. According to Veliu, by cracking down on the economic aspect, a paralysis of the entire structure of the criminal group can be acquired.
In the end, the general director expressed his wish to continue working on other operations with their Spanish colleagues.
