PM Edi Rama is giving his speech during Thursday’s plenary session, which will be focused on the presentation of Rama’s III government program followed by a detailed account of his cabinet, for the next 4 years in power.

As an opening remark, Rama brought to the attention the ratio between men and women in his new government.

“This is the most predominantly female government in Albanian history,” – said Rama, while referring to his Rama 3 cabinet.

According to him, women and girls will be granted their deserved place during the next four years.

In addition, Rama reiterated his previous stance, inviting the Democratic Party to the possibility of collaboration.

“Let’s be clear, we don’t want any leeway from you, but we are ready to sit in dialogue and talk about any leeway you might need; we don’t need a single vote from you; we aren’t aiming to achieve any comprise you might not agree with, but we are ready to come to an understanding about anything you would like to and anything that serves the nation, the people and the future,” – stated Rama, while emphasizing that the new term will be filled with challenges and that actions should be focused on what interests and serves the people.
