Italian businessman Davide Pecorelli, believed to be missing in Albania for over 8 months, was found alive on a boat on the coast of Livorno, in the region of Toscana, Italian media reports.

According to the public state media, the 45-year old called his ex-wife, who then called his father.

Pecorelli went missing after arriving in Albania some months ago. His rental vehicle was found burned on January 8, in a village in northern Albania.

At the time, forensics found human remains on the driver’s seat as well as personal objects, leading them to suspect that they belonged to the Italian businessman.

An investigation revealed that Pecorelli had moved through several cities, such as Tirana, Shkodra, Puka, and Vlora.

Pecorelli owns a hotel in San Giustino as well as several spas in Sansepolcro and had recently opened a branch in Albania after getting into a relationship with an Albanian girl.
