Among the sixteen decisions passed at the first government meeting was a bill on the status of minors considered under the care of the Republic.
According to the new bill, children of health care workers who died at the front of the battle against the pandemic will receive their parent’s salary until reaching adulthood.
According to the head of the Albanian government, the objective aims to provide financial relief to the children of those who “gave their lives” to protect the national interest.
“Children of doctors, nurses, or supportive personnel that died from COVID-19 while on duty will be treated in a retroactive manner and will receive their parent’s full salary until they become 18-years old”, said PM Edi Rama.
