A few months ago, he raced for the chairmanship of the Democratic Party. But now, Fatbardh Kadilli is returning with a new political faction, a term also known as “a party within a party”.
Kadilli introduced on Tuesday “The Democratic Initiative”, with several party functionaries seen on his side, including Ivi Kaso, Eno Bozdo, and Arben Ristani.
“We’ll confront ideas. Whoever has an idea, gives an idea. For innovative decision making, for new political actions, for a real opposition”, declared Kadilli.
According to him, the rift between DP’s leader Lulzim Basha and one of its co-founders Sali Berisha is segregating the party.
“We don’t think that any of the parties has the right answer, none of the two sides is uniting, strengthening, or will ever win”, he added.
Fatbardh Kadilli was the first member to challenge Basha for the party’s chairmanship, while Agron Hoxhaj and Edit Harxhi entered the race shortly after. He ended up ranking last, receiving in total 781 votes.
