The election campaign ahead of the local polls in North Macedonia kicked off in a highly unusual way.
Supporters fired gunshots, as a sign of enthusiasm, for the candidates that were present during the rally.
During one of the rallies of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), the largest ethnic Albanian political party in the country, in Cair near Skopje, a supporter is seen holding a gun, raising his hand to the sky, and then emptying the pistol cartridge in the middle of a packed crowd.
Local media report that this is not the first time that a similar incident happens at a BDI rally, meanwhile, police authorities have not released any official declaration in connection to the case.
