Arben Malaj, president of the Institute for Public Policies and Good Governance stated that there is certainly a global energy crisis right now, but the Albanian market isn’t directly influenced by it.
“The excuse the everything comes from abroad is baseless. In the case of gas, we’re not dependent, in the case of food, because of our market deficit, the impact is direct,” – said Malaj.
Malaj also told Euronews Albania that in cases of global economic crises, the duty of any government and policymaker is the reduce the panic. Edi Rama, according to Malaj added to the panic by openly declaring a state of emergency and energy crisis.
“The government presents this situation, blaming the crisis on international markets. Instead of a management plan, there’s was fearmongering,” – said Malaj.
