Ivan Todosijevic had until October 6 to turn himself in to serve a two-year sentence for calling the Recak massacre a “fabrication”.

Local media RTK has learned that Todosijevic is currently in Belgrade, although his attorney did not confirm that.

His attorney Nebojša Vlajić request to extend the time when Todosijevic must turn himself in, which was also confirmed by the Basic Court of Pristina.

However, the request should have been filed within 7 days of the court’s ruling.

Although his name continues to show up among other MPs in the Parliament of Kosovo, legal experts assert that he has lost his mandate.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic denounced the conviction and warned that Serb List will not run in the local elections.

The Massacre of Recak is known as one of the biggest atrocities committed by Serbs in Kosovo where 45 civilians were brutally murdered.
