The High-Level Conference on Transport hosted by the Montenegrin Ministry on Capital Investments brought together ministers from the Western Balkans to discuss the future of infrastructure in the region.
Albania’s Minister for Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, highlighted the importance of the conference in increasing cooperation among neighboring countries over future investments.
Investments in Corridor X and the new railway, creating a Vora-Hani Hotit-Podgorica connection, were among the topics discussed during the high-level conference on transport held in Montenegro on Saturday.
“We specifically talked about road safety, joint work on the border as infrastructure is not sufficient for their improvement, but obviously eliminating queues at the border also. So, having goods and citizens pass through without any disruptions across the Western Balkans”, said minister Balluku.
The infrastructure minister also added that other important topics were touched upon, including future regional investments that will modernize infrastructure.
