Prices for flight tickets at the ‘Mother Theresa’ airport in Rinas, Albania have gone down significantly. The main factor seems to have been the rise in competition, since new ‘low-cost’ companies started entering the scene.
A one-way ticket to Italy costs up to €20 euros, whereas a one-way ticket to cities in Germany ranges from €15-30 euros.
Meanwhile, even destinations that are further away like Abu Dhabi, are offering much cheaper tickets that range from €30 to €80 euros, one-way.
The following prices are referring to end-of-the-year dates, when tickets are usually much more expensive as well as the month of February (from 19-24), when tickets are generally cheaper.
Italy
A return ticket from December 25-28 to Milano and back, costs €60 euros with Wizz Air. In February, when the influx of travelers is much lower, the price goes down to €40 euros.
In regards to the price of tickets to Rome, Wizz Air offers slightly higher priced tickets because they don’t have a daily route to this city. A one-way ticket to the Italian capital on December 23, costs €28 euros but a return ticket is €145 euros. In February however, tickets range from €70-120 euros both ways.
In addition, ‘Air Albania’ offers one-way tickets to Rome on December 24, for €50 euros whereas a return ticket on December 29 costs €99 euros.
London
For only €65 euros one can travel to London on December 23 with Wizz Air, but a return ticket on December 29 is at least €100 euros.
Istanbul
In late December, tickets Tirana-Istanbul with Air Albania cost €53 euros. Whereas, Pegasus, offers a one-way ticket to Istanbul for €90 euros on December 24 and a return ticket for €45 euros, on December 27.
Vienna
A one-way ticket to Vienna with Wizz Air costs €35 euros on December 24 and €110 euros for a return ticket on December 27.
Austrian Airlines offers one-way tickets starting from €97 euros throughout the whole month of December.
