The EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi announced earlier today that the European Union will be allocating a €90-million-euro fund to Albania, to help with pandemic recovery.
The Commissioner also underlined that this would be the second and last installment that will be accorded to Albania as a pandemic relief package.
“Important news for Albania! EU today disbursed €90 million euros in Macro-Financial Assistance, second and last tranche of €180 million euros support programme to Albania aiming to help limit economic fallout of COVID-19 pandemic,” – wrote Varhelyi on his personal Twitter account.
