Sali Berisha has not gathered the total amount of signatures required to convene the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, declared Lulzim Basha in front of reporters, one day after Berisha claimed to have submitted 4,200 signatures.
“I am deeply disappointed by his act that is a mockery to Democrats. If he were to have gathered the signatures, he would have submitted them according to the statute. It is all a bluff, and the thing he started pretending to democratize the DP ended up in a battle for his personal problems and power”, said Basha.
The DP’s chair stressed that there will be no National Assembly meeting whose scope is to review the decisions of the American government.
Basha also had another appeal for Berisha.
“We have information that the regime has become part of the efforts for a coup inside the DP. Stop wasting the time and the energy of the Democrats. Stop helping Edi Rama”, he said.
