A group of citizens in Prishtina organized a protest against power outages that began last week as a result of the energy crisis in the country.

Protestors demand 24/7 electricity supply and want the economy minister to resign, in addition to returning ownership of the country’s energy corporation (KEDS).

Protesters initially gathered in front of Kosovo’s Energy Corporation, where one of the protest organizers’ declared that the power outage at first lasted about two hours, but now parts of the country have not had energy for 24 hours.

Protesters chanted “Heat is not a commodity”, “Return KEDS to Kosovo” and “Rizvanolli leave”.

Reportedly, light bulbs were thrown at the KEDS building as a sign of protest.
