A traffic diversion plan will be put in place at the intersection of Rinas (airport)-Qafe Kashar (Rinas turn) due to a road reconstruction project announced by the Albanian Road Authority.
Roadwork will begin on January 10 and last for a 30-day period. In case of bad weather and rainfall, the project will be postponed to a later date.
ARRSH has declared that this intervention will involve road maintenance as well as an upgrade of traffic signs.
Roadwork will be divided into 3 phases.
During the first and second phases, all traffic to and from the Rinas Airport will be diverted to the following interval: Rinas (Airport -K/Rinas (Ahmetaq) – Vore – Tirana – Durres and vice versa.
Starting from Monday, vehicles that follow the route Qafe Kashar – Rinas will be diverted to the Tirana-Durres Highway, to follow the interval Qafe Kashar – Vore – Rinas.
Drivers will also be advised to use alternative routes and secondary roads, like the highway segment Qafe Kashar – Vore and Vore – Fushe Kruje exit – Rinas intersection – Rinas airport – Epoka University.
During the second phase of roadworks, drivers going in the direction Qafe Kashar – Rinas, will be diverted to the Tirana-Durres highway to follow the route Qafe Kashae – Vore – Rinas.
In addition, during the third phase of roadworks, both lanes will be blocked thus traffic will be diverted from the Rinas Fork in the direction of Vore towards the Entrance of Tirana-Durres Highway and use the segment Qafe Kashar – Rinas.
