Albanian President Ilir Meta called on the Council of Ministers to provide elaborate details of town halls without a mayor in charge.

The request came after the response of the Central Election Commission (CEC) informing the president that Vlora, Dibra and Shkodra do not have someone in the role the city’s executive.

CEC underlined that it has no knowledge over some other municipalities, namely Lushnja, Rrogozhina and Durres, after having not received any information from the Council of Ministers.

The head of state said in a press conference held a few days ago that the current state is “unacceptable” and warned to have rolled out procedures to organize snap elections.
