Democrat MPs Belind Kellici and Dashamir Sula debated on parliamentary procedures following today’s move by Lulzim Basha where he expelled 4 MPs from DP’s parliamentary group for aligning with Sali Berisha.
On Now with Erla Mehilli, Democrat lawmaker Belind Kellici said that the only thing wrong that the four expelled MPs did was to raise their voice on their leader.
For him, it is “unacceptable” to allow Taulant Balla, the head of SP’s parliamentary group to speak on behalf of Democrats.
“The only abnormal thing is that I share a different opinion from the leader. I received 11,600 for the Democratic Party, they cannot kick me out from the group. Taulant Balla stood up for you today. Taulant Balla became DP’s spokesperson today”, said Kellici.
But according to the other Democrat MP on tonight’s Now, Dashamir Sula, Basha’s move was entirely legitimate against MP’s who allegedly rise up against the party’s executive council.
He added that the DP must be freed from elements of violence, and only so it can become stronger.
“I would never throw rocks [to the building of the Democratic Party]. The DP will rise stronger as long as the violent elements are gone from the party. Anyone accused of corruption should disassociate from the DP”, said Hysa.
