At this point, the Democratic Party should designate someone, who will represent them at the Central Electoral Commission.

Ivi Kaso, representative of DP in the latest elections, supported Sali Berisha’s movement and as a result, Lulzim Basha substituted him with Indrit Stefa and Marash Logu.

The latter asked commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi to be the only CEC contact for the Democratic Party.

During the meeting, Kaso claimed that Lulzim Basha is no longer leader of the Democratic Party, referring to the December 11 Assembly.

Forced to choose between the two, Celibashi said that CEC should accept the Democratic Party which is recognized by law, thus accepting the request put forward by Lulzim Basha.

CEC adopted several rules during the meeting in regards to the registration process for the different candidates as well as proposed the members of electoral commissions.
