Leke Lekgjonaj didn’t hide a single day. This was claimed by Pjeter Gjoka, a peacemaker between families suffering from blood feuds in Lezha.

In addition, he said that he had spoken to the victim, immediately after his brother had killed Florian Pervathi’s father.

Lekgjonaj had asked him to clear the air and defuse the situation because he had nothing to do with what happened, but he had also told Gjoka that he wasn’t scared of the repercussions.

“I told him to be careful. I didn’t let him get out of the house without someone accompanying him,” – added Gjoka.

According to the peacemaker, the 17-year-old who killed Lekgjonaj grew up with the spirit and notion that he had an obligation to take revenge for his father’s death.

Lekgjonaj’s brother killed Florian Pervathi’s father.

Pjeter Gjoka said that there are currently 33 families that are currently in hiding in Lezha and over 100 families who are tangled in some kind of blood feud.

At the moment, there are around 38 children who suffer from the same problems as Florian. According to Gjoka, they grow up with family or community members encouraging him to take revenge.

In conclusion, Gjoka said that since 2018, there has been a growing tendency of families involved in blood feuds in Lezha.
