“These last developments on the Russian-Ukrainian border are a well-known playbook. We have seen it in Georgia in 2008 and in Ukraine repeatedly since 2014, unfortunately at the cost of thousands of lives – civilian and military. Russia has used military violence as a means of achieving its political and geopolitical goals”
“The narratives of spheres of influence in Europe or dictating by threats the geostrategic orientation of other countries are tools of another century, of another time, reminiscences of the cold war”, he continued.
A few days ago, a White House representative said Biden warned the Ukrainian president of a “distinct possibility that the Russians could invade Ukraine in February”.
This is not true. President Biden said that there is a distinct possibility that the Russians could invade Ukraine in February. He has previously said this publicly & we have been warning about this for months. Reports of anything more or different than that are completely false. https://t.co/chkFOhwWHn
