Professor and justice reform author, Aurela Anastasi, said that the Albanian judiciary isn’t independent of our political system.
According to her, the procedures being undertaken so far, haven’t reached the objectives assigned by the justice system.
Anastasi said that the language used by our politicians isn’t correct when it comes to the judicial. She based her claims on the polls conducted by members of civil society before the start of the justice reform, which affirmed that judges and prosecutors feel pressured by the political system in our country.
“It’s a shame because even though the reform has made come a long way, we still need to part our ways with the pressure of politics,” – said the professor.
