Albania came out second in a ranking that revealed the most commonly deported nationalities in Germany.

The German Federal Ministry confirmed that during 2021, the majority of deportation included Georgia and Albania, with Georgian emigrants ranking first.

1.116 migrants were sent back to Georgia last year and 908 were sent back to Albania.

Kosovo and Turkey were also amongst countries that ranked high up on the list. Around 400 citizens were deported to these countries from Germany in 2021.

The German government has announced that these emigrants sign an agreement before they are sent back to their places of origin.

Last year, Germany carried out a total of 11.982 deportations, 1.182 more than the previous year, when the international air traffic was affected by COVID-19 restrictions, reports Deutsche Welle.
