3 citizens were arrested in connection to a marijuana grow house in Ndroq, 2 of whom were OSHEE employees.
Tirana’s District Court, however, decided to release Eriban Daja from prison and place the others – electrician Qemal Hasa and biller Erion Mema – on house arrest.
Meanwhile, police are still looking for Rudina Xhambazi who is being accused of leading the entire operation.
Police officers discovered the grow house in Ndroq last Saturday. The rooms had been adjusted to allow for the cultivation of indoor cannabis through the necessary lighting and electric systems.
As a result of this bust, the town’s commissioner Pinet Elez Kapllani is now under investigation for abuse of power. Police officer Ardrian Malliku is also being investigated.
During the raid, police found a total of 247 cannabis plants, 45 electric chargers, 46 lamps, 11 ventilators, 7 cellphones, and 120 thousand ALL in cash.
