The Democratic Party rolled out on Tuesday a consultation process on territorial reform.
Power decentralization experts are expected to attend the meeting. They will present some of the first basic ideas on the amends that could take place for the administrative division of the country.
A few days ago, the Democratic Party set up a working group led by Roland Bejko. The members of the special parliamentary group tasked to oversee the reform will be adopted in the upcoming plenary session.
The Democrats want to restore counties as units of local governments.
On Monday, the Parliament agreed to set up two special commissions on the territorial and electoral reforms.
The last administrative division in Albania occurred in 2016. At the time, the Democratic Party boycotted the commission led by former Socialist MP, the late Bashkim Fino.
