Kurti reiterates support for dialogue process in Munich meeting with Lajcak

Prime Minister Albin Kurti met on Saturday with EU’s special envoy for the dialogue with Serbia Miroslav Lajcak in Munich where they both attended the annual Security Conference.

Their meeting centered around the dialogue process and the upcoming steps.

Kurti briefed Lajcak on the progress of the economic and judicial reforms and reiterated the firm stance of his government in combatting corruption and strengthening the rule of law.

A press release cited Kurti as saying that the government is committed to a principled dialogue process that would be fruitful to the citizens of both countries.

He also emphasized that above all, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the functionality of the state should not be undermined.

Regional cooperation was among the other topics discussed by Kurti and Lajcak. The former reiterated his support for the Berlin process and the regional common market.

EU’s Lajcak said he’s looking forward to the upcoming meeting between chief negotiators for the talks.
