Kosovo is utterly engaged in reaching a legally binding agreement with Serbia, however, it can only come as a result of mutual recognition.
These were the statement of Kosovo’s PM Albin Kurti during a meeting with the high EU representative on issues of foreign politics and security, Josep Borrell, which took place at the end of the Munich Security Conference, announced the PM’s briefing room.
This meeting centered around the dialogue process between Kosovo-Serbia and what the upcoming steps will be in terms of signing a list of agreements applicable to both countries.
In the meeting, which was also attended by Kosovo’s foreign affairs minister Donika Gervalla, Kurti is cited to have said that Kosovo is perfectly willing to accept an invitation to meetings with leaders from both countries, only if there is a shared willed by both parties participating in the dialogue between Kosovo-Serbia.
In addition, Kurti said that he welcomes the close coordination of both the United States and the European Union, which are acting as mediators in this important process, which is dependent on mutual recognition.
