What has happened with the price of oil in the past month and a half?

In fact, it’s gone up by 9 ALL or €0.07 per liter.

Euronews Albania has been collecting daily receipts at local gas stations since December 23, 2021, in order to see if the price of oil has shifted.

The first receipt from December 2021, shows 184 ALL per liter. (€1.52 euros)

On January 11, 2022, we saw a rise in the price of oil that wasn’t too significant of 1 ALL (€0.01 cents).

The same price continued through to January 17, 2022.

The two following receipts, January 20 and 26, show a decline of oil prices, which went back to 184 ALL or €1.52 euros per liter.

Starting from February 7, 2022, however, receipts tell a different story. In only a month and a half, Albanians have to pay €0.07 more per liter as prices are now set at 193 ALL or €1.60 euros per liter.

Prices have remained unchanged for the rest of February and citizens are concerned; will the price of oil continue to rise and if so, how much?

Minister of finance Delina Ibrahimaj said that prices will continue to rise for another 6 months but gave no estimates in terms of how much they will actually rise.
