SP’s Durres nominee predicted to secure over 50% of the votes

Emirjano Sako, the Socialist Party’s nominee in Durres, is the predicted winner of the by-elections due March 6 with 52.5% of the votes.

Euronews Albania’s Barometer indicates that the second most voted candidate, with 30.5% of the votes, is Ardian Muka from the House of Freedom coalition.

Meanwhile, Luan Hoti, the candidate running for the Democratic Party, would secure only 17% of the ballots.

If we calculate a margin of error, Sako might secure 50%-55% of the votes.

Regarding Muka, he may win a maximum of 33% of the votes, or a minimum of 28%.

Meanwhile, DP’s candidate Hoti is expected to receive from 15% to 19% of the votes.

Barometer results indicate that the voting trend leans more toward SP candidate, Sako, who would seal 39.5% of the votes if elections were held today.

Muka from the House of Freedom would get 23.2%, and Hoti 12.9%.

The results are from the Barometer survey on Euronews Albania, carried out by MRB and Data Centrum.

1.200 face-to-face interviews were conducted in the municipalities of Shkodra and Durres from February 21 to March 1.
