The technical director of Tropoja’s chrome mine, Adriatik Rexha, has been arrested after yesterday’s accident which took the lives of 2 miners.
The 45-year-old is being accused of violating work safety regulations.
On Saturday, two miners namely Adil Dautaj and Afrim Zhutaj, lost their lives after the collapse of one of the mine’s tunnels, which was located in the village of Lajthize.
At the moment of the accident, 6 miners were working at this specific tunnel.
Fortunately, 4 of them were successfully rescued and are out of the danger.
