Former PM Sali Berisha declared that no one should think that there are 2 Democratic Parties, instead of only 1.
During his press statement following today’s plenum, Berisha said that DP is open to discussing with each party member.
“At first, we need to guarantee Democrats from all levels, from regular members all the way to our MPs. The Democratic Party is open and fully willing to discuss, to debate, with each one of its members. We are open to anything only so we can guarantee a free election process,” – said Berisha.
In addition, he claimed that DP’s leadership had already been terminated by the Historic Congress.
“This doesn’t mean that the voice of a Democrat, whoever he may be, won’t be heard and that it won’t be taken into consideration. DP has already put in place a comprehensive institution and this is our parliamentary group. Anything can be discussed within this group. The Basha-ist way of doing politics was a doctrine of abuse against our statute and our institution,” – said the former PM.
