The former leader of the Democratic Party traveled to Shkodra on Sunday to meet with officials from the party’s branch.

In a video secured by Euronews Albania, Lulzim Basha is seen greeting DP’s Shkodra branch leader, Xhevdet Amuli, and Xhemal Bushati, the Democrat nominee for the mayoral elections.

Basha’s resignation and a Tirana Court verdict recognizing Berisha’s Refoundation Commission did not resolve the internal crisis that has grasped Albania’s largest opposition party.

Both sides have continued their agenda in parallel meetings with branch leaders.

Basha has been recently traveling across the country meanwhile, the Refoundation Commission is restructuring its relations with the party’s branches.
