In light of the price crisis, the government decided to reduce investments, however expenditures on office furniture seem to be unaffected by the measure.

The government will spend €2.5 million to renovate office interiors, with a tender created by the Concentrated Purchasing Agency on account of 5 state institutions.

Around €1.2 million were sought by the Mother Theresa Hospital, for the renovation of its offices.

The other half will go to military and police offices, the justice ministry, and the prison directorate.

Furnishing the offices of the ground force command requires €685,000.

Meanwhile, the Police Directorate is asking for €377,000 in a three-year agreement plan.

A more humble request was posed by the Justice Ministry and the Prison Directorate, with expenditures sought at €29,000 and €20,000, respectively.

A few days ago, Concentrated Purchasing Agency opened a €14 million tender to purchase oil that will be put to use by administrations.

But the move comes at a time when the state budget is facing several emergencies, including here an electricity crisis, as well as a spike in the prices of food and fuel.
