Former PM Sali Berisha asked for the resignation of the current head of DP’s parliamentary group Enkelejd Alibeaj.
Sources near Euronews Albania reported that Berisha opposed Alibeaj’s decision to appeal the legitimacy of the July 17th Assembly.
According to Berisha, the changes adopted by this Assembly were accepted by all Democrats.
During the meeting of the Parliamentary Group, Berisha is cited to have mentioned the former DP chair Lulzim Basha, saying that he has possession of “many bitter truths”.
On the other hand, Alibeaj said that he isn’t anyone’s vassal, thus reconfirming his stance against Berisha.
In addition, Alibeaj reminded the historic Democratic leader of the fact that he has been publicly designated by the United States and that since September 9, he is no longer a part of the Democratic Party.
