Democratic MP Lulzim Basha rejected PM Edi Rama’s earlier statement during SP’s Congress, which said that Rama had sent the former DP chair a message, where he warned him of DP’s destruction.
During a press communication after today’s plenum, Basha said that Rama is making this up and that in the past, there have only been 2 cases when the two exchanged words.
“These are the typical lies of people that want to take the attention away from the real issue. It’s a lie. We’ve only communicated twice, to exchange condolences. One was in 2020 and the other was last year. These are nothing but lies,” – said Basha.
In regards to the current crisis within the Democratic Party, Basha asked former PM Sali Berisha to take a step back.
According to him, DP should be liberated so that it can continue its duty which is to serve the Albanian people.
