“Serbia’s goal is to destabilize Kosovo”.

This is what the minister of internal affairs in Kosovo, Xhelal Svecla said during a press conference after the Kosovo police were attacked by unidentified individuals with a rifle and hand grenades.

Svecla said that Kosovo doesn’t fear any of Serbia’s scenarios.

“We don’t fear any kind of scenario from Serbia. Serbia’s goal at this moment isn’t to attack Kosovo, but destabilize it,” – he said.

Svecla also compared this attack to a terrorist act while adding that it was intentionally executed in order to scare police and citizens, reports KosovaPress.

The attack took place this morning at 07:40 am, when police officers were just about to switch their shifts at the border checkpoints.

Over the past 3 days, four attacks have been registered against Kosovo Police.
