This morning, several Kosovo police officers were attacked by still unidentified individuals who threw hand grenades and shot at them with AK-47 rifles.
The officers were attacked at the northern border checkpoints while switching their shifts.
The images shown below were taken from the scene, where officers collected the bullets and other evidence, while also noticing that their car windows had been broken through heavy metallic objects.
Fortunately, this didn’t result in any victims except for some collaterals damage.
Kosovo’s interior affairs minister Xhelal Svecla compared this attack to a terrorist act and emphasized that it was intentionally done to scare the officers and citizens of Kosovo.
